This Privacy Policy explains how TnTW LLC, which operates VPN Insider ("VPN Insider," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit vpninsider.org (the "Site"). We are an independent, affiliate-funded VPN review and comparison site. We do not require accounts and we do not sell products directly.

We try to keep this readable. If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@vpninsider.org.

1. Information we collect

We collect a limited amount of information, mostly automatically:

Information collected automatically

When you visit, our analytics provider (Google Analytics) and our hosting infrastructure may collect: your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, the pages you view, the site or search that referred you, approximate location (derived from IP), and timestamps. This is used in aggregate to understand traffic.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and, where applicable, to attribute affiliate referrals. See Section 4.

Affiliate referral data

When you click an outbound link to a VPN provider, that click may be recorded by the provider's affiliate network (e.g., via a cookie or tracking parameter) so the provider can attribute a possible commission to us. We do not receive your name, payment details, or account information from these networks — only aggregate or anonymized conversion data.

Information you provide

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it only to respond.

2. How we use information

We do not use your personal information to influence our rankings. Editorial scores are produced from public user sentiment and verified data, with affiliate commissions structurally walled off. See our methodology.

3. Legal bases for processing (EU/UK visitors)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on these bases: consent (for non-essential cookies/analytics, where required); legitimate interests (to run, secure, and improve the Site, and to attribute referrals that fund it); and legal obligation (to comply with applicable law).

4. Cookies & your choices

We use the following categories of cookies:

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, and opt out of Google Analytics using Google's opt-out browser add-on. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required. You can also reopen cookie settings at any time.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share limited information with:

Some sharing for analytics or referral attribution may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under California law. See Section 9 for how to opt out.

6. International data transfers

We operate in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in the US and other countries. Where required for EU/UK personal data, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

7. Data retention

We retain analytics data for as long as needed for the purposes above (typically up to 26 months in Google Analytics, or less), and correspondence for as long as needed to address your inquiry and keep records. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed.

8. Your rights (EU / UK / EEA)

If the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, you have the right to: access your personal data; correct it; erase it; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO). To exercise any right, email hello@vpninsider.org. We respond within 30 days (extendable for complex requests).

9. Your rights (California — CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to: know what personal information we collect and how it is used and shared; delete personal information; correct inaccurate personal information; and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (including cross-context behavioral advertising). We do not knowingly sell personal information for money, and we do not "sell" or "share" the personal information of anyone we know to be under 16.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: to opt out, adjust your cookie settings to disable analytics/advertising cookies, enable Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser, or email hello@vpninsider.org. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any right. We acknowledge requests within 10 business days and respond within 45 days (extendable by 45 days with notice).

10. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Site links to third-party websites (including VPN providers). We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.
